RESOLUTION NO. 2516-10

 

A Resolution Amending Resolution No. 2436-09

Rate Change to Recreation Permit (Riverfront Lease)

 

            WHEREAS, the City of Guttenberg offers leased sections of riverfront along the Mississippi River which has been leased to Permittees for several years, and

 

            WHEREAS, the available areas are leased as a ten foot (10’) slip with a maximum to each Permittee of three (3) slips or thirty feet (30’) under a Recreation Permit, a/k/a Riverfront Lease, and

 

            WHEREAS, in such circumstances that result in an available boat slip or slips, and where there exists high demand, the city shall advertise the date of a drawing to be held to determine the individual who may lease such available slips, and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Resolution No. 2436-09, establishing a charge of Eight Dollars ($8.00) per foot or Eighty Dollars ($80.00) for 2010 and 2011for a ten foot (10’) slip with the same maximum of thirty foot (30’) for both residents and non-residents, and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it would be in the best interest of the residents of the City of Guttenberg to approve the rate changes.

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute this Resolution amending Resolution No. 2436-09 to establish the above lineal foot rate charges for Recreation Permits (Riverfront Leases) for 2010 and 2011.
