Invest in One of America's Most Beautiful Towns*

The City of Guttenberg has made growing a quality community a priority. Our historic river town is rich in German heritage and offers breathtaking views of the Mississippi River. The charming limestone buildings that line our river front are the perfect place to start your new business venture. There's also 25,000 SF of land available for new development.

Guttenberg is located on Hwy 52, just 40 miles north of Dubuque and only 23 miles from Hwy 20. Barge terminals are available in the neighboring communities of Clayton, McGregor and Dubuque. Guttenberg also sits on a Canadian Pacific Railway route.

Every home and business in Guttenberg has access to a 100% fiber optic Fusion Network through Alpine Communications that provides bandwidth speeds of up to 1 GB/second, which is perfect for telework, business development, and distance learning.
